Now days is very important take in consideration that our vacation experience have to be commitment with a contribution with the planet and is necessary that this experience have to integrate nature, culture, customs, gastronomy and traditions of the local towns.

Let’s reduce carbon emissions: avoid gas emissions, damage to the environment, and pollution

  • Pack only what you need
  • Take shuttle services, give priority to Carbon Neutral companies
  • If you rent a car verify that your supplier is Carbon Neutral and have sustainable practices
  • Use alternative transportation as bicycle, train or public transportation

Let’s save energy and water

  • Switch the light and the air conditioning off when you leave a room
  • Switch the TV off when you’re not watching it
  • Unplug your devices when they’re not charging
  • Take shorter showers
  • Avoid getting clean towels when not necessary
  • Turn the water off when brushing your teeth

Let’s take care of the protect areas

  • Always stay walking on the trail for your safety and for the ecosystem
  • Don’t feed animals
  • Avoid animal encounter
  • Stop Animal Selfies: Costa Rica became the first in the world to launch a national campaign against “cruel or inappropriate selfies with wild animals”, animal selfies can cause “stress and suffering” for the wildlife and even put tourists at risk.
  • Buy only those crafts made with natural products processed specifically for commercialization, or those products manufactured with renewable resources such as wood.

Do not purchase any piece of flora or fauna, especially those species protected by the International Commerce Agreement of Endangered Species of Wild Flora and Fauna. It is against the law, and your action will contribute to their extinction.

If you visit archeological places do not take any piece found on the surroundings, since it may be a piece of archaeological and cultural heritage.
